Q’STRAINT COMEÇOU COM UMA SIMPLES PERGUNTA:
Como passageiros cadeirantes podem ter segurança em veículos?
Nos anos 70, uma equipe de estudantes e especialistas da Universidade Queens de Ontario, Canada se juntaram para descobrir a resposta.
Sua pesquisa demonstrou que passageiros cadeirantes possuem necessidades únicas de segurança, que requerem soluções de segurança únicas, que naquela época não existiam. Então o time de pesquisa desenvolveu o primeiro sistema de segurança de 4 pontos totalmente integrados do mundo. Q’STRAINT foi a primeira a introduzir o inovativo sistema para a indústria global de transporte.
Hoje, a Q’STRAINT continua a fomentar esta tradição de inovação, avançando sua missão de prover acessibilidade segura para todos, desenvolvendo as soluções de segurança para cadeirantes com maior qualidade do mundo.
MARCOS HISTORICOS DA EMPRESA
1984
Q’STRAINT é estabelecida quando a Universidade de Queen licencia seu sistema de segurança para passageiros cadeirantes de 4 pontos integrados e Q’STRAINT introduz o sistema no mercado.
Q’STRAINT abre seu primeiro escritório em Cambridge, Ontario, Canadá.
1985
Q’STRAINT é a primeira companhia a aplicar o “teste de sled” para testar cintos de segurança automotivos usados em sistemas de segurança para cadeirantes.
1987
O alcance global de Q’STRAINT se expande com a abertura de um distribuidor local em Queensland, Austrália.
1991
A Q’STRAINT é convidada pela NHTSA para compartilhar de sua expertise para o desenvolvimento de regulamentações de transporte de cadeira de rodas no Ato de Americanos com Incapacidade (ADA).
1993
A Q’STRAINT abre um escritório em Whitstable, Reino Unido, para atender a demanda crescente internacional através da Europa, Oriente Médio, Ásia e África.
1996
A Q’STRAINT se torna a primeira e única empresa de segurança de cadeirantes a receber registro ISO 9000.
1997
Q’STRAINT realoca sua sede para Fort Lauderdale, Florida, fornecendo para America do Sul e do Norte. Um centro de vendas e distribuição se mantém em Cambridge, Ontario, fornecendo serviço para o mercado canadense.
1999
A Q’STRAINT desenvolve e introduz o primeiro sistema de segurança auto tensionador e com travamento automático para passageiros cadeirantes.
2004
Produtos da Q’STRAINT são usados em veículos adaptados nos Jogos Paraolímpicos de Atenas.
2005
Q’STRAINT do Reino Unido recebe a designação de ‘Investidor em Pessoas” em reconhecimento do seu comprometimento com o treinamento e desenvolvimento pessoal.
2007
Q’STRAINT do Reino Unido recebe o Premio Queen por Comércio Internacional, reconhecida por seu crescimento significativo em exportações para mais de 40 países.
2008
Produtos da Q’STRAINT são usados em veículos adaptados nos Jogos Paraolímpicos de Beijing.
2009
A Q’STRAINT comemora 25 anos no mercado.
2012
A Q’STRAINT lança a estação de ancoragem QLK-150 , a primeira estação de ancoragem a passar as especificações do teste de batidas para padrões WC18/19.
2014
A Q’STRAINT comemora 30 anos de continuo comprometimento com a indústria de segurança de cadeira de rodas lançando o Centro de Pesquisa de Excelencia iQ para poder avançar em inovações tecnológicas para segurança de passageiros cadeirantes.
2015
A Q’STRAINT faz a indústria dar um giro de 180 graus (literalmente) ao introduzir o QUANTUM, a primeira estação de segurança completamente automática com visão para a traseira..
