Q’STRAINT presents QUANTUM at 2017 Professional Development Workshop in Tampa
AUTOMATIC SECUREMENT STATION IS A ROUSING SUCCESS AT PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP
Q’STRAINT was one of only three manufacturers to be invited to speak at the 2017 Professional Development Workshop in Tampa Florida in association with: The Florida Public Transit Association (FPTA), The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), and The Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR). The workshop offered a series of opportunities to share new innovations with the community and learn from other industry experts.
Mitch Drouillard, Southern Regional Manager for Q’STRAINT, gave a 35-minute presentation to maintenance staff from all over the state that showcased QUANTUM automatic securement technology. And Marlon Gutierrez, Q’STRAINT Applications Engineer, was on hand to provide in depth technical information for the QUANTUM.
Many Florida agencies were in attendance, including those from Miami, Orlando and West Palm Beach. Along with their corresponding operations teams, they joined the hands-on demonstration to see QUANTUM’s innovative technology in action aboard a 40-foot Gillig bus, generously loaned by Jim Egbert, Transit Operations Chief of Manatee County Area Transit (MCAT).
Throughout the event the QUANTUM was presented to the state on all levels (FDOT, CUTR & Agency) for the consideration of adding QUANTUM to the upcoming Florida State Bus Contract.
